The objective of HealthX Innovation Sandbox (HX-IS) is to establish suite of enablers including a conducive policy-ops innovation sandbox environment that is accessible, safe, self-contained and realistic in simulating a production environment that allow innovators to “start fast and prove fast / fail-and-recover fast” on their innovations.

General Eligibility

Projects should:

• Demonstrate a clear innovation or experimentation objective.

• Comply with applicable respective healthcare institution policies and governance requirements.

• Have an identified project team with designated business and technical leads.

Before You Apply

Project teams are expected to:

• Read and understand the HealthX Innovation Sandbox (HX-IS) Terms of Use (TOU).

• Review the available sandbox enablers and determine the resources required.

• Ensure sufficient funding is available for any chargeable enablers, where applicable.

• Obtain the necessary internal approvals and clearances before onboarding.

• Prepare key project information, including objectives, scope, intended outcomes, timeline, success criteria, post-sandbox plan and technical requirements.

• Submit your application at least two (2) months before your intended project start date, where applicable, to allow sufficient time for assessment, onboarding and environment setup.

Note: Please factor in the estimated processing and onboarding timelines when planning your project.

• Projects not requiring cloud provisioning: Approximately 1-3 weeks.

• Projects requiring cloud provisioning: At least 6-8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the provisioning needs and billing setup.

Application Process

1. Download and complete the application form.

2. Submit the completed application to hx-is@synapxe.sg.

3. Application will be reviewed for business and technical suitability.

4. Additional information or clarification may be requested during the assessment.

5. Successful applicants will be notified and guided through the onboarding process.

Applicants whose applications are unsuccessful may submit a new application in the future if project requirements or circumstances change. The HX-IS Team will not disclose the detailed assessment or reasons for unsuccessful applications.

During the Sandbox

Project teams are expected to:

• Comply with the HealthX Innovation Sandbox (HX-IS) Terms of Use (TOU).

• Owns the end-to-end delivery of the project and manage the project budget throughout the project lifecycle.

• Use sandbox only for the approved project scope submitted during the application. Any changes or additions to the approved scope are not permitted unless they have been formally assessed and approved.

• Use sandbox resources responsibly and monitor utilisation and costs and optimise usage where appropriate.

• Complete project within the approved sandbox duration. Extension requests are not encouraged and are subject to review, justification and approval. Submit extension requests at least one (1) month before the approved project end date.

• Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.

• Escalate platform-related technical issues or service requests to the HX-IS Team in a timely manner.

• Report project progress, milestones, risks, utilisation and outcomes to the HX-IS Team in accordance with reporting requirements.

Project Completion

Project teams are expected to:

• Notify the HX-IS Team when experimentation has concluded.

• Complete the required offboarding actitivities.

• Settle bills, teardown the workloads, delete data, deactivate account(s) where applicable.

• Submit a post-project report to hx-is@synapxe.sg within 1 month of dandbox project completion.

The HX-IS Team will issue a formal sandbox project closure notification upon completion of the offboarding process. This notification confirms the administrative closure of the sandbox engagement and does not constitute endorsement or validation of the project's outcomes or readliness for subsequent implementation.
